C Level Automotive Technician / General Service Technician - No Weekends

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $18.50/hour base + up to $11.00/hour productivity bonus

Position Summary
Promotive is hiring a C Level Automotive Technician / General Service Technician for a well-established independent shop in Auburn Hills, MI. This is a great opportunity for a technician with at least 1 year of experience who enjoys general service work, wants to build skills, and is looking for a stable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends (yes, your Saturdays are officially yours again).
This role is ideal for someone who is confident with oil changes, tire work, brakes, and alignments—but also knows there’s more to learn and isn’t afraid to chase it. If you’re the type who takes pride in doing the job right (and not just fast), you’ll fit right in here.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and routine maintenance services
- Complete brake repair and replacement work
- Perform tire service, mounting, balancing, and rotations
- Assist with alignment services and related suspension work
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify basic maintenance or repair needs (before they become someone else’s comeback)
- Maintain accurate documentation using digital shop systems
- Keep a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Work closely with service advisors and teammates to support an efficient workflow
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as an automotive technician, lube technician, or general service technician
- Experience with oil changes, brakes, tire service, and basic vehicle maintenance
- Alignment experience is a plus
- State certifications required, or willingness to obtain them after hire
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn (ego stays in the toolbox)
- Self-starter with a mature, dependable approach to work
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Compensation & Benefits
- Hybrid pay plan: $18.50/hour base plus up to $11.00/hour productivity bonus
