Automotive  Technician/ Automotive Mechanic/ Lube Oil Technician

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform work outlined on maintenance and repair orders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and repair in a timely manner
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
  • Able to explain mechanical problems and needed repairs to Service Advisors and vehicle owners in a non-technical manner
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay in line with rapidly changing technology
  • Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
  • Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
  • Repairs vehicles as assigned
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
  • Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
  • Attends meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • GM experience preferred but not required
  • Post-secondary automotive training, certification, or equivalent work experience
  • ASE Certification preferred but not required
  • Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Good communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Safety and customer service oriented
  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Excellent work history

**Job Title: Automotive Lube Technician**

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Automotive Lube Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other fluid checks, to keep vehicles in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Perform oil changes and replace oil filters on various types of vehicles.- Conduct tire rotations and checks for wear and tear.- Check and replenish all automotive fluids, including coolant, transmission, power steering, and brake fluid.- Inspect the engine, air filter, cabin filter, belts, and hoses to ensure they are in good working conditions.- Provide excellent customer service, advising customers on the condition of their vehicle and any necessary repairs or maintenance.- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies and safety procedures.- Assist other technicians with larger tasks when necessary.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.- Strong communication and customer service skills.- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
