Job Title: B-Level Automotive Technician

Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled B-Level Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have intermediate-level experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. You will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repair tasks while gaining experience in more advanced diagnostic and repair procedures under the guidance of senior technicians and the Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid checks, and tune-ups.
Diagnostics: Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles, using diagnostic equipment and software as needed.
Repairs: Conduct basic to intermediate-level repairs, including brake replacements, suspension adjustments, and minor engine work, following manufacturer guidelines.
Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly with customers about their vehicle’s needs, providing updates on service progress and explaining repairs when necessary.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior technicians, service advisors, and the parts department to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings in the company’s database.
Tool & Equipment Use: Properly use and maintain diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment in a safe and organized manner.
Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training programs and certifications to expand knowledge and progress towards an A or Master Technician role.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive technology is preferred.
ASE certifications in relevant areas (or working towards obtaining ASE certification).
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an automotive technician with a solid understanding of vehicle systems and components.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and basic automotive software.
Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and working in various positions.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
