Bonus Feature: Wrenches down at 4:30 sharp
Pay Range: $35–$45/hr + Quarterly Bonuses

Promotive is hiring an A Level or Master Automotive Technician for a respected independent shop in New Haven, MI. This is a Monday–Friday role with strong pay, modern equipment, steady workflow, and a team that believes good technicians deserve support, space, and respect — not micromanagement and Saturday headaches.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on Domestic, Asian, and light diesel vehicles
- Use OE-level diagnostic equipment including Autel, Snap-On, and Topdon scan tools
- Handle electrical diagnostics, scoping, flow-chart testing, drivability concerns, and intermittent issues
- Complete BG flushes, maintenance services, and complex repair work
- Conduct Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) using Tekmetric
- Mentor and support junior technicians when needed
- Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair needs and timelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
- Deliver honest recommendations — no upsell circus, no guessing games, no “throw parts at it and pray”
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of automotive technician experience
- Strong electrical and diagnostic skillset
- ASE Certifications A1–A8 required
- Master ASE Certification preferred
- State of Michigan Mechanic Certification required
- Experience across multiple makes and models
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Team-player mentality with leadership qualities
- Someone who enjoys solving problems, mentoring others, and keeping the drama low
