Position Summary
Promotive is hiring an experienced Master / A Level Automotive Technician for a busy, family-owned dealership and service operation in Myrtle Beach, SC. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives on diagnostics, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants consistent weekday hours with strong earning potential.
This shop operates both a dealership service department and a recon center, servicing a wide mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. Technicians enjoy a collaborative team environment, steady vehicle flow, and leadership that is actively involved in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on a wide variety of vehicles
Repair and service major automotive systems including engines, brakes, suspension, steering, and drivetrains
Use professional diagnostic tools such as Autel and Snap-On scan tools
Complete thorough vehicle inspections and accurately document repair recommendations
Work closely with the service advisor to ensure efficient workflow and clear communication
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow manufacturer and industry repair standards to ensure quality workmanship
Qualifications
6+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician or Master Technician
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience working on domestic and Asian vehicles
ASE certifications preferred but not required
Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Compensation & Benefits
Flat Rate Pay: $38–$50/hr depending on experience
Annual earning potential: ~$100,000+
