Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM. Shop hours are 7:30 AM–9:00 PM. Overtime opportunities are available as business needs require. Occasional Saturdays may be required.

About the Shop
Our client is seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join their established independent repair shop in Boulder, Colorado.
This 12-bay facility services primarily Domestic and Asian vehicles using professional diagnostic equipment, including Autel, Snap-on, and Tekmetric. Approximately 70% of this position focuses on diagnostics and advanced repair, while 30% consists of maintenance services to support overall shop workflow.
The shop maintains a healthy and consistent workload with an Average Repair Order (ARO) of $500–$800 and services fewer than 25 vehicles per day. Although this is an hourly position, technicians typically produce 40–50 flagged hours per week, reflecting a steady flow of work.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose drivability, electrical, and mechanical concerns.
Perform advanced diagnostics and complex mechanical repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems.
Repair steering, suspension, cooling systems, and other major mechanical components.
Perform maintenance services as needed to support overall shop workflow.
Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
Diagnose and repair primarily Domestic and Asian vehicles.
Document repair recommendations and communicate findings clearly.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience performing complex mechanical repairs.
Experience with steering, suspension, cooling systems, and pressure testing.
Independent repair shop experience preferred.
Own professional automotive tools.
Team-oriented with pride in quality workmanship.
Comfortable balancing advanced diagnostics with maintenance work.
