    What You’ll Lead


    Store Performance and Growth


    • Take ownership of store sales, profitability, expenses, and overall performance

    • Manage profit-and-loss results, labor costs, inventory, and operating expenses

    • Establish and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals

    • Develop strategies to increase sales, customer retention, and repeat business

    • Review performance reports and implement improvements when goals are not met

    • Identify legitimate sales opportunities based on documented vehicle needs

    • Prepare and submit accurate daily sales and operational reports

    Leadership and Team Development


    • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, schedule, motivate, and retain qualified employees

    • Lead automotive technicians, general service technicians, and service advisors

    • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance

    • Coach and evaluate employees to improve productivity, quality, and customer service

    • Conduct team meetings and communicate daily priorities

    • Maintain accurate employee payroll, timekeeping, and scheduling records

    • Build a respectful, collaborative, and results-oriented workplace

    • Lead by example and support Midas standards, values, and expectations

    Customer Experience and Sales


    • Deliver an exceptional customer experience from check-in through vehicle pickup

    • Listen carefully and consult with customers about their vehicle concerns

    • Ensure inspections and repair recommendations are accurate and properly documented

    • Present service recommendations, repair options, warranties, and pricing clearly

    • Prepare accurate computerized estimates and repair orders

    • Obtain proper customer authorization before beginning repairs

    • Keep customers informed about repair progress and estimated completion times

    • Follow up on recommended and previously declined services

    • Resolve customer concerns promptly, fairly, and professionally

    • Build customer loyalty through honest communication and dependable service

    Shop Operations


    • Manage workflow and assign work according to technician skills and shop priorities

    • Monitor technician productivity, workmanship, and on-time completion

    • Oversee inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs

    • Ensure the shop provides quality service for domestic, European, and Asian vehicles

    • Source parts and maintain strong vendor relationships

    • Oversee sales, accounting, cash-handling, and clerical functions

    • Maintain accurate inventory counts and control inventory costs

    • Prevent avoidable inventory losses

    • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and customer-ready facility

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety and environmental requirements

    What We’re Looking For


    • Minimum of five years of automotive store or service-management experience

    • Previous supervisory, coaching, or team-leadership experience

    • Strong automotive repair and maintenance knowledge

    • Proven success achieving sales and profitability goals

    • Experience managing P&L, labor, expenses, inventory, and workflow

    • Strong leadership, team-building, and employee-development skills

    • Exceptional customer-service and relationship-building abilities

    • Confidence presenting repair and maintenance recommendations

    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to make sound decisions and hold employees accountable

    • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, repair-order software, and computers

    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership

    • College degree or relevant coursework preferred

    • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

    • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including Saturdays and holidays when required
