Responsibilities
- matching technician skills with incoming vehicle issues, maximizing technician time, efficiency, skill sets and education levels for quickest, best repair result
- assisting in trouble shooting vehicle issues, training technicians on proper repair procedures
- acting as liaison between asst service mgrs and technicians
- assisting with identifying customer symptoms, complaint verification as well as quality control
- assisting serivce department managers with team management and shop morale
- dispatching work to achieve customer promise times and proper distribution by skill set and work mix
- anything else asked within the scope of the service department
Qualifications
- previous related position and experience; ie., automotive service department, parts department management
- high level of mechanical and technical automotive repair experience; ie., master technician
- proven ability to manage a team
- successful previous team orientation
