Kool Toyota is looking for a skilled and dependable Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service department. If you have experience performing vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs and are looking for a dealership that invests in your success, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair brake, steering, and suspension systems.
• Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid services.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and identify repair or maintenance recommendations.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment, repair information systems, and service tools effectively.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
• Communicate vehicle conditions and repair recommendations with service advisors and management.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Deliver high-quality repairs and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Automotive Technician Certification in:
  • Brakes
  • Steering & Suspension
• Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of domestic and import vehicles.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional Michigan State Certifications and/or ASE Certifications.
• Experience with engine performance diagnostics and electrical systems.
• Wheel alignment experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
