Automotive Service Advisor – High-Energy Closer for an Established Automotive Repair Shop

Location: DeSoto, TX

Schedule: Five-day workweek with two consecutive days off; shop is open seven days a week

Compensation: Competitive base + aggressive bonus structure | $75,000–$130,000 total compensation potential

About the Opportunity

AutoShop Recruiting is partnered with a long-standing, family-owned independent automotive repair operation in DeSoto seeking a high-octane Service Advisor—someone who does not hide behind the counter, babysit a stool, or wait for the next customer to walk in.

This is an established, full-service shop with deep roots in the Dallas–Fort Worth community, a strong repeat-and-referral customer base, and more than 800 public five-star customer reviews. The team handles everything from maintenance, brakes, A/C, suspension, diagnostics, and alignment to complex transmission repair and rebuild work—on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.

This is a real opportunity to lead from the front. Advisors are expected to educate customers, drive ethical sales, maintain workflow, collaborate closely with technicians, and create the kind of experience that turns a one-time repair into a customer for life.

The shop is known for transparent upfront communication, digital inspections, strong warranty support, financing options, courtesy transportation for local customers, and service seven days a week. If you love a fast pace, real responsibility, and an environment where you can earn big based on your performance, this shop is your home.

What You’ll Do

This is an in-the-trenches role. You’ll:

  • Greet customers, listen actively, and build trust quickly
  • Perform detailed vehicle walk-arounds and verify concerns hands-on
  • Stay connected to the bays and technicians to fully understand recommendations
  • Present estimates confidently, build value, overcome objections, and close repairs at a high percentage
  • Communicate proactively with customers throughout the repair process
  • Drive sales while maintaining the highest level of integrity
  • Manage workflow efficiently to support customers, technicians, and on-time delivery
  • Coordinate maintenance, general repair, diagnostics, and complex transmission-related work
  • Deliver a world-class service experience that keeps customers returning and referring others

What We’re Looking For

We need a Service Advisor who thrives in a high-energy, boots-on-the-ground environment:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Service Consultant
  • Strong closing skills—you know how to build value, confidently ask for the sale, and overcome objections
  • Comfortable being in the bays, communicating with technicians, and verifying vehicle concerns
  • Ability to explain technical recommendations in clear, customer-friendly language
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and customer-service skills
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of controlling a busy front counter
  • Experience with transmission, diagnostics, or full-service repair is a strong advantage
  • Positive, team-first attitude with the urgency to keep work moving
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

If you prefer to sit down all day, this is not the job. If you like to move, lead, sell, and win—this is your lane.

Benefits & Perks

This company invests in its people. You’ll enjoy:

  • Unlimited paid training and certification opportunities
  • Paid Time Off and paid holidays
  • Health, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, FSA, and additional elective benefits
  • A high-earning performance-based compensation plan
  • A stable, values-driven culture focused on teamwork, customer trust, and long-term success
  • The chance to represent an established repair operation with a reputation built over decades

How to Apply

If you’re a high-octane Service Advisor who loves the action, thrives under pressure, and knows how to close with confidence, we want to talk.
