Job description:
Position is for a Service Technician. Advise and consult customers on vehicle service needs. Create repair orders for customers and communicate with the service department.
Responsibilities:
- Promptly meets and greets customers.
- Determines the nature of customer problems.
- Creates a Repair Order detailing the service to be performed.
- Obtains customer approval for service before delivering the repair order to service personnel.
- Reviews completed repairs or services performed with customers and collects payment.
- Performs daily cash/sales procedures at the close of the business day.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computerized sales and marketing software.
- Knowledge of auto/truck Repairs, tire, lube, and maintenance issues.
- Experience using All-Data and vehicle service manuals to research and determine the resolution of malfunctions.
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in auto/truck tire, lubrication, and maintenance.
- 1+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in an auto repair store, auto dealership, or comparable professional environment.
- Experience as a vehicle mechanic or lubrication technician.
