Promotive is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Advisor for a well-established, family-owned automotive repair and tire shop in Newton, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and accurately identify their automotive repair and maintenance needs.
• Build lasting customer relationships by providing honest recommendations and exceptional customer service.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using automotive parts knowledge and shop resources.
• Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process with repair updates and completion timelines.
• Utilize shop management software, including AutoTracker, ShopKey, ALLDATA, Identifix, and CRM systems.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations, including load ratings, commercial applications, and product selection.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and customer-focused service environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer required.
• Extensive tire knowledge, including tire load ratings and commercial tire applications.
• Strong automotive parts knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable learning new software and technology quickly.
• Dealership and independent repair shop experience preferred.
• Automotive certifications are preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must successfully complete a background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screen.
