Automotive Reconditioning Technician / Vehicle Prep Specialist - Southern Team Auto Mall

Southern Team Auto Mall is expanding!  We will be holding immediate interviews in search of Automotive Body Technicians that will be a great fit for our New and Used Vehicle Prep/Reconditioning Department.  If you have experience or are interested in joining our team as an a Automotive Restoration Specialist or Auto Body Painters….THEN WE WANT YOU!

A highly motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Reconditioning Technician / Vehicle Prep Specialist is sought to join our winning team at Southern Team Auto Mall.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about cars and dedicated to ensuring every vehicles meets high standards for presentation and quality.  This role is crucial in preparing vehicles for sale or delivery, making them look and feel like new.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Thoroughly inspect vehicles to identify cosmetic and minor mechanical deficiencies
• Perform interior and exterior detailing, including washing, waxing, polishing, and buffing
• Utilize specialized tools and cleaning agents to restore that vehicle's appearance
• Execute paint touch-ups, wet sanding, and buffing to address scratches and imperfections
• Address minor dents, dings, and paint chips to ensure a flawless finish
• Clean and condition vehicle interiors, including carpets, seats and dashboards
• ensure the vehicle is clean, sanitized, and ready for customer presentation or delivery
• Assist with light mechanical checks and maintenance as needed (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with other team members (service, sales) to ensure efficient workflow

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Proven experience in automotive detailing or reconditioning, or a related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
• Knowledge of various cleaning products, tools, and techniques for automotive reconditioning
• Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks associated with detailing
