Lube-Tech Position at Malloy Ford
Malloy Ford of Charlottesville is looking for a lube-tech to join our growing quick-lane shop. Our maintenance volume is growing and we need technicians to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background. The day-to-day duties includes maintenance services, fluid exchanges, basic maintenance; brakes, tires, and light diagnostic work. We have a fantastic shop of technicians and we would love to see you come and grow with us. This position lines up the right person to gain experience with the brand, grow their certifications, and to move into the main shop. It puts you on track to learn various areas of the automotive field, from EV to gas vehicles, to diesel and commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous dealership experience is preferred
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
