Vista Ford Toyota is seeking an experienced and driven Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department in Delta, Colorado. This leadership role is responsible for maximizing departmental profitability, maintaining optimal inventory levels, developing a high-performing team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.  The ideal candidate is a proven automotive parts professional with strong leadership skills, inventory management expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Department Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Parts Department team.
  • Create a positive, productive work environment focused on accountability, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor department personnel.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Customer Experience

  • Establish and maintain exceptional customer service standards.
  • Build strong relationships with retail, wholesale, service, and internal customers.
  • Ensure prompt, accurate, and professional handling of all parts inquiries and transactions.

Inventory & Operations Management

  • Manage inventory levels to maximize turnover while minimizing obsolescence.
  • Oversee purchasing procedures and inventory control processes.
  • Monitor and reduce aged inventory and dirty core inventory in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels to support service, body shop, wholesale, and retail operations.

Financial Performance

  • Develop, administer, and monitor the annual Parts Department budget.
  • Analyze sales performance, expenses, gross profit, and inventory metrics.
  • Implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Maintain departmental compliance, financial integrity, and operational controls.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.
  • Utilize CRM and dealership management tools to support communication, training, and operational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of automotive parts experience
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience within an automotive parts department
  • Strong inventory management and purchasing experience
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Proficiency with CRM and dealership management systems
  • Ford and/or Toyota parts management experience
  • Experience managing wholesale parts operations
  • Knowledge of manufacturer inventory programs and core return processes

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the United States
