What your day looks like

You roll into a clean, well-equipped shop and jump straight into problem-solving. One vehicle needs a brake and hydraulic overhaul, another has an A/C complaint, and a third has an intermittent electrical fault tied to the engine management computer. You collaborate with other technicians when jobs get complex, lend a hand where needed, and keep the line moving with efficient, high‑quality work.

Between jobs, you document findings in plain language for teammates and customers, outline recommended repairs, and estimate parts, labor, and timelines—especially during comprehensive used‑car inspections. You stay sharp by joining formal training sessions, picking up the latest techniques in drivability, alignment, and advanced ignition and fuel systems.

Core responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair to spec across brake/hydraulic, exhaust, suspension/alignment, A/C, fuel/ignition, electrical, and onboard computer systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and full inspections with speed and accuracy that meet company standards.
  • Complete used‑vehicle checklists, identifying repair needs with cost and time estimates.
  • Explain technical issues and solutions clearly to non‑technical teammates and customers as needed.
  • Assist fellow technicians on complex technical activities; share knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in formal training to stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology.

What you bring

  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience as an automotive mechanic/technician.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Team‑first mindset, flexibility, and a strong focus on customer service.
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment: wheel and tire machines, alignment systems, scan tools/diagnostics, and A/C service equipment.
  • ASE certifications preferred (not required).
  • Delaware State Inspection and Emissions licenses are a plus.

Why you’ll thrive here

We value craftsmanship, efficiency, and continuous learning. If you love turning tough drivability and electrical problems into clear, safe solutions, you’ll fit right in.
