TLC Auto & Truck Repair Center is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Assistant Service Manager who can help lead the front of the shop, drive performance, and create an exceptional customer experience.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Deliver a professional, high-trust customer experience from start to finish
- Assist in leading Service Advisors and holding the team accountable to performance standards
- Manage workflow, scheduling, and repair order progression
- Write and manage repair orders when needed
- Communicate estimates, repair needs, and timelines clearly and confidently
- Work closely with technicians to ensure proper diagnostics and repair quality
- Help maximize productivity, efficiency, and overall shop performance
- Monitor KPIs including ARO, ELR, CSI, GP, productivity, and closing ratio
- Handle escalated customer situations professionally and effectively
- Drive customer retention, online reviews, and referral growth
- Identify ethical upsell opportunities through maintenance planning and vehicle needs
- Support pricing strategies, service packages, and operational improvements
- Maintain a clean, organized, process-driven service department
- Help ensure proper equipment, training, and operational standards are maintained
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or Assistant Service Manager in automotive repair
- Strong leadership mentality and accountability mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment without losing attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong understanding of automotive service operations and KPIs
- Comfortable using modern shop software, AI tools, and technology-driven systems
- Organized, dependable, and results-oriented
- Fleet and diesel experience is a major plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, advisors, and leadership
Qualifications
- Automotive service advising or management experience required
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience with scheduling, workflow management, and repair order handling
- Proficiency with shop management software and computer systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional automotive or management certifications are a plus
