Automotive A/C Technician-5+ yrs Automotive A/C exp required

Knowledge

·       Strong working knowledge of automotive systems, specifically air conditioning, heating, cooling and electrical

·       Minimum of 5 years automotive heating, cooling, and AC experience 

·       Strong knowledge of AC theory

·       Strong knowledge of general automotive repair

·       Strong working knowledge of diagnostic tools

Skills

·       Ability to disassemble and correctly reassemble dash systems and interior components of various makes and models of vehicles

·       Excellent automotive AC/heat diagnostics

·       Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

·       Spanish speaking a plus

·       Basic computing skills

·       Excellent trouble-shooting skills

·       Excellent electronic diagnostic skills, with ability to read and understand schematics

Abilities

·       Ability to converse clearly – speaking and hearing

·       Ability to work evenings 

·       Ability to physically move, climb, and work under various types of vehicles

·       Ability to disassemble and correctly reassemble dash systems and interior components of various makes and models of vehicles

·       Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

·       Ability to hold and manipulate parts and tools

·       Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle

·       Ability to work independently 

·       Ability to collaborate and work with other team members

·       Utilize knowledge, experience, and diagnostic tools to diagnose issues on customer vehicle

·       Perform detailed inspection of systems, noting and informing Service Writer of recommended additional/preventive maintenance repairs needed

·       Determine parts and labor time needed to perform additional diagnostics and/or repairs

·       Work with General Manager and Service Writer to create repair plan for customer

·       Service vehicles in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with industry standards

·       Keep up with required knowledge and skills in automotive industry to ensure high quality work

·       Maintain a clean and safe working environment by putting tools, materials, and parts away as work is completed

·       Follow all safety requirements and local and federal standards when it comes to disposing of hazardous or toxic materials

·       Adhere to best practices when working by reporting any accidents or incidents to management as soon as possible
