JSat Automation is hiring an Automation Validation Engineer for their San Diego Office. This position may travel up to 40% to client sites.

<\/div>
This Engineer will be responsible for the following <\/div>
  • Design and develop manufacturing control systems in support of process operations.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Interact with client personnel to identify and analyze continuous improvement through automation upgrades.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Develop validation documents per FDA cGMP and GAMP standards, functional specifications, design specifications and requirements trace matrices.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Design, program, test and validate process control automation systems.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Prepare and execute validation protocols (AIQ, IQ, OQ) for 21 CFR Part 11 compliance per FDA requirements
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Manage, document, and implement these upgrades through changes control procedures.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Execute capital projects including but not limited to:
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Control system software development
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Control system hardware design
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Network design
    <\/span><\/li>
  • MES system implementation
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Recipe management
    <\/span><\/li>
  • User requirement specification development
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Process equipment installations.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • SOP development and training on Automation Systems.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve field control system issues.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Develop, review, and / or execute automation qualification and validation protocols.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Design, develop, and implement technical solutions by establishing integration strategies, configuring and programming PLCs, DCSs as well as design, build, install and integrate automation control system hardware, panels and field devices.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Up to 40% travel to client sites<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • We require a minimum BS Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or equivalent with 0 to 7 months experience in process industry.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Experience in Control Systems (Emerson <\/span><\/span><\/span>DeltaV<\/span><\/span><\/span>, Allen Bradley, Foxboro, Siemens, Honeywell). Experience with SCADA, MES, and database systems, or computer system validation are considered a plus.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>

      Benefits<\/h3>
      Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $75k - $125k per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job -related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, etc..  <\/span><\/span>
