A culture of collaboration and innovation, diverse team, and an environment where ideas are heard.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all equipment is maintained according to supplier guidelines, including conveyors, cranes, refrigeration systems, fire protection, freezer doors, pallet‑handling equipment, dock doors and other mechanical systems.Perform planned preventative maintenance and repairs in a timely and safe manner with minimal impact on normal operations.Communicate with planners and system operators regarding equipment downtime and repair schedules.Troubleshoot and repair or replace components in conveyors, cranes, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and other mechanical systems.Diagnose and fix problems with control systems, low‑voltage and high‑voltage electrical systems.Set up and operate machine tools (e.g., milling machine, grinder, drill) to repair or fabricate parts, jigs and fixtures as required.Operate cutting torches and welding equipment to join metal parts.Ensure compliance with OSHA, FSDA requirements and all company policies to maintain a safe working environment.Perform testing of fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and ammonia alarms as required by local regulations.Monitor and optimize the ammonia refrigeration system.Understand equipment service agreements and warranties and coordinate with suppliers for warranty claims, annual maintenance and significant repairs.Report, plan and track all maintenance and engineering issues using maintenance software.Maintain accurate registration of spare parts and tools in line with company policy.Perform general facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, lighting and other tasks.QualificationsMinimum of 2–5 years of work experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.Hands‑on mechanical, electrical and facilities maintenance background.Automated equipment maintenance experience highly preferred (conveyors, automated cranes, palletizers, ASRS).PLC experience is a plus.Education: High School diploma; Associate's degree or equivalent level of training.Equal Employment OpportunityNewCold provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, genetic testing results, medical condition (including cancer and genetic characteristics), or service in the military.
