Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Automation Technician (Level 1) with hands-on experience in packaging operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will support the automation team with installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and calibration of packaging equipment. This role is entry to mid-level and ideal for candidates looking to grow their technical skills in industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support setup, operation, and maintenance of automated packaging equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions on electro-mechanical systems.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
- Follow SOPs, safety protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Document service work, parts used, and downtime reports in maintenance systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize line performance.
- Identify minor machine improvement opportunities.
- Provide shift-based support from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., including travel to San Juan as needed.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree in Electronic Engeering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing automation or packaging.
- Basic understanding of sensors, pneumatics, motors, and control logic.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.
Preferred:
PLC/HMI exposure and familiarity with GMP environments.
Experience in serialization systech
