Summary Job title: Automation Specialist Job ID: null Department: Vancouver Columbia TRC Location: null-null Description Summary: This position is responsible for driving the APR's business strategy to accelerate growth in the automation businesses including programmable controllers, I/O, HMI, safety, industrial computers, system network design, design software, operations software, and plant maintenance software. You will be technical liaison between Rockwell Automation and the distributor. Reports to: Automation Solutions Group Manager Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education + 3-years' experience/knowledge applying Rockwell Automations products or equivalent competitive solutions + Outcome-based selling experience + Demonstrate technical writing and presentation skills ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES: + Knowledge of local market and competitive environment + Ability to work independently and be self-motivated + Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications: Formal certification in functional safety, network design, or cybersecurity Working Conditions: + Conditions vary and may include industrial, warehouse, office, and external environments. Some activities will include climbing, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office time may include sitting for extended periods. + The position involves travel - both by car and by air.
