Automation & Facilities Reliability Technician – Fort Wayne, IN
Are you the kind of troubleshooter who sees a fault code as a challenge, not a setback? Do you enjoy moving from a PLC alarm to a mechanical root cause and back online with precision? Join us to elevate reliability across our production floor and facility systems.
What you’ll tackle
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment, material handling assets, and building systems
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
Work with hydraulics and pneumatics; service motors, bearings, and conveyors; and resolve issues on PLC-controlled machinery and automation components
Accurately close work orders, log repairs, and keep supervisors informed with timely status updates
Interpret and apply information from schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
Support new equipment commissioning, complete machine changeovers, and drive continuous improvement activities
Maintain a safety-first approach, adhering to all procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
How you’ll make a difference
By combining disciplined maintenance routines with fast, thoughtful troubleshooting, you’ll protect uptime and product quality. Your work will be visible every time a line starts on time and stays running safely and efficiently.
Imagine this scenario
A conveyor drops a load and stops unexpectedly. You verify LOTO, inspect bearings and belt alignment, test motor continuity, then confirm a PLC input is misreading due to a failed sensor. You replace it, update the work order with your findings, and brief your supervisor—preventing a repeat event through a targeted PM task. That’s the kind of impact you’ll have every day.
