Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering. Required Qualifications: Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Core Experience
Proven experience serving as an Automation Engineer supporting large-scale technology transformation initiatives, particularly modernizing legacy systems and processes.
Strong background transitioning manual operational processes to automated solutions within enterprise environments.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of large, cross-functional enterprise teams.
Mainframe & Automation Expertise
Hands-on CA7 Scheduler job automation experience, including:
Creating, modifying, and maintaining automated job schedules
Independently debugging and resolving job failures and automation issues
Extensive hands-on experience with Hogan mainframe systems, including:
Hogan CIS
Hogan Umbrella
Hogan Deposits (strongly preferred)
Proficiency in mainframe development and utilities, including:
JCL creation and maintenance
COBOL development and support
REXX scripting
SORT utilities
Data & Database Skills
Working knowledge of DB2 and IMS databases in a mainframe environment.
Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
Analysis & SDLC
Ability to analyze user and business requirements and translate them into clear technical design specifications.
Experience collaborating across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Comfortable partnering with business analysts, QA/testers, operations, and infrastructure teams.
Production Support & Troubleshooting
Strong experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, defects, and production incidents.
Ability to support mission-critical systems with a focus on stability, performance, and reliability.
Ways of Working
Experience working in enterprise IT environments with complex dependencies and strict change controls.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
IT Project Management experience or skills (nice to have), including understanding timelines, dependencies, and delivery risks.
