  • Engineer and refine control designs to meet project objectives and resolve technical constraints
  • Explore and develop new approaches in robotics controls engineering
  • Plan and execute design verification and validation activities
  • Design intuitive graphical user interfaces/HMIs
  • Configure and program PLCs, robots, and related software applications
  • Author sequential control logic and interlocks
  • Generate clear system documentation: drawings, code comments, manuals, and training materials
  • Provide end-user training and responsive support
  • Conduct testing and troubleshoot issues through to resolution
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by management

What you bring

  • Education/experience blend that delivers the required capabilities; typically:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (preferred)
    • ~5 years of direct field experience or equivalent
  • Proficiency in technical problem-solving and disciplined documentation
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and progress multiple projects concurrently
  • Background with, or willingness to learn, key platforms:
    • Robots: Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Motoman
    • PLCs: RSLogix 5000, Siemens S7, TIA Portal (and related systems)
    • Vision: Keyence, Cognex, Teledyne Dalsa (and comparable solutions)

Role context

  • Supervisory scope: None
  • Key strengths: Communication, critical thinking, systems analysis, troubleshooting
  • Work style: Detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable managing competing priorities
