Description

Our client, a (Tech industry), is looking to hire a (AutoCAD CAD Designer/Engineer/CAD Tech) in (North Reading, MA).

Role- AutoCAD CAD Designer/Engineer/CAD Tech

Duration- 6 months (Could extend up to 24 months - could convert)

Location - (North Reading, MA) 2 days in office

40 hours/ week.

Pay rate range- $50-$55/hr. on W@( depends on Exp)

Job description:

  • Client is looking for an AutoCAD CAD designer/engineer to create and maintain detailed client warehouse floor layouts, support site designs, resolve layout conflicts, and produce construction/deployment drawing packages (PDFs and other deliverables). The role requires strong CAD skills, attention to detail, ability to read building plans, and support global engineering and construction projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional AutoCAD experience, including layer management and detailed drafting.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience creating layouts for warehouses, fulfillment centers, manufacturing facilities, or other process flow environments.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and building layouts.
  • Basic understanding of material handling and storage systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • Cell-based calculations and formulas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Associate Degree in Drafting and Design (CAD) is also considered.
  • Experience with C++ programming.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience leading small groups or coordinating engineering activities.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience supporting construction or deployment projects.
  • Familiarity with warehouse automation, robotics, or fulfillment center design.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software tools and engineering workflow
