Auto Body Technician - Heavy Truck & Equipment Collision

A respected heavy truck and equipment company is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join their collision repair team. This position is ideal for someone with prior experience working on heavy trucks, industrial equipment, construction equipment, or similar large commercial vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have strong collision repair and finishing experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment while producing high-quality work.

• Perform collision repair and body finishing work on heavy trucks and equipment
  
• Repair damaged panels, frames, fiberglass, and body components
  
• Sand, prep, mask, and finish surfaces for paint application
  
• Assist with dent repair, panel replacement, grinding, and body alignment
  
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  
• Work closely with painters, estimators, and shop personnel throughout the repair process
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
  
• Follow all company safety procedures and shop policies
  
• Operate shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Previous collision repair experience required
  
• Experience working with heavy trucks, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, construction equipment, or commercial vehicles is strongly preferred
  
• Knowledge of body repair techniques, finishing procedures, and shop tools
  
• Ability to read work orders and follow repair instructions
  
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
  
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
