Audit Digital Business Leader

Talent Software Services is in search of an Audit Digital Business Leader for a contract position in Des Moines, IA. Opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: The Audit Digital Business Integration Leader has responsibility for overseeing the technology needs of the audit line of business assisting and leading in the development of the digital strategy, roadmap and execution plans. The leader will also be responsible for ensuring software and technologies are implemented that support efficient andhigh quality audit delivery. This role stays abreast of changes in technology and their impact on the practice. This role uses that information, combined with the vision of the audit practice, to design and execute the audit technology vision and roadmap. This role manages the product owners and project managers for all technology products supporting the audit line of business. This role will work closely with leaders from the audit line of business to ensure that the development and deployment of the various audit software tools are done timely and of high quality. This role collaborates with corporate IT as well as other lines of business and enterprise functions such as Marketing, Finance, HR and others on visioning and strategy implementation.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Understand the capabilities of the software tools used in the audit line of business and their interaction within the firm's IT environment. Help develop the audit strategy for deployment of new software tools.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies that can enhance audit delivery, including providing support for audit innovation activities
  • Manage the audit technology roadmap in alignment with the audit vision and goals
  • Oversee the development of the budget for the audit technology department and budget for IT support for the audit line of business in collaboration with IT and audit leadership
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing maintenance of software for the audit practice, including managing the audit technology development team.
  • This includes:
    • Ensuring the software development lifecycle is documented, implemented and operating effectively
    • Establishing the software production and release schedule in collaboration with business timing needs
    • Oversight of critical user support needs and issues response, including direct interaction with users when appropriate
  • Coordinate with other departments and lines of business within client US and with other client's International member firms
  • Oversee contract negotiations with vendors for significant contracts
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, software engineering, accounting or equivalent degree
  • Prefer graduate degree in information technology management, project management or MBA
  • Experience and inclination for understanding of the functionality and capability of various platforms and software programs
  • Core competencies include business requirements definition, project management, business process re-engineering and software implementation
  • 10+ years of current or recent experience in an information technology management environment
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written with diverse audiences
  • Ability to break complex issues into project steps and problem solve
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Strong people management and motivation skills
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to exercise professional and technical discretion on matters of significance
  • Ability to analyze input received and work with others to provide solutions that meet quality and efficiency requirements for end users
  • Ability to work and lead efficiently with remote team members

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a public accounting or other professional services firm
  • Experience working in collaboration with corporate IT departments and subject matter experts within the business
  • Experience with strategic management of resources in multiple locations, including international service centers
