Addison Group is partnering with a highly respected global professional services organization seeking an experienced Attorney Support Assistant to join its fast-paced Washington, DC office. This team operates in a collaborative, high-performance environment supporting attorneys and clients with advanced administrative and operational support.

Job Description:

The Attorney Support Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys in a dynamic, client-facing environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, and confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex calendars, scheduling, and meeting coordination for attorneys and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and related logistics
  • Handle frequent communication with clients and business contacts in a polished and professional manner
  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal and business documents, presentations, and spreadsheets
  • Process attorney time entry, billing support, and expense-related tasks
  • Assist with opening new matters, engagement documentation, and matter tracking processes
  • Monitor deadlines, follow up on outstanding action items, and help keep projects moving forward
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
  • Conduct online research and administrative support projects as needed
  • Collaborate effectively across teams while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting attorneys or executives within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Previous experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously preferred
  • Strong background in calendar management, travel coordination, billing, and client interaction
  • Experience with legal billing and time entry systems such as InTapp and Elite 3E preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters
  • Proven ability to work independently while remaining highly responsive in a team-oriented environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Additional Details:
  • Ideal candidates will have prior experience working within an AmLaw 100 or similarly fast-paced professional services environment
  • Team consists of 13 support professionals within the DC office
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with strong personalities and proactively following up with stakeholders to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Interview process includes virtual and onsite meetings with leadership and operational stakeholders
  • Desired start date is mid-June
