Job Details

Responsibilities

Case Management & Execution: Assist in managing a docket of civil, commercial, and probate litigation matters from intake through resolution, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met
Legal Research & Issue Analysis: Conduct in‑depth legal research and translate findings into practical insights that support litigation strategy
Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and client correspondence with precision and persuasive clarity
Discovery Coordination: Support all phases of discovery, including document review, drafting and responding to discovery, assisting with depositions, and coordinating with experts
Court Appearances & Proceedings: Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings as appropriate; assist with trial preparation and litigation support
Client Interaction & Communication: Maintain regular client communication, provide case updates, gather information, and support relationship management
Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure efficient case progression and high‑quality work product
Operational Support: Assist with case tracking, workflow management, and process improvements to enhance overall department efficiency

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar (required)
2–3 years of litigation experience (preferred)
Strong experience with motions practice, discovery disputes, depositions, and court appearances
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Probate, estate, or trust litigation experience is a plus
Familiarity with Arizona state and federal court procedures preferred
Trial litigation experience a plus
