Description We are looking for an Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will handle complex legal cases, draft critical documents, and conduct thorough research to craft compelling arguments. The position offers autonomy and flexibility with a billable expectation of 1200 hours annually, making it ideal for professionals who thrive in a dynamic and independent work environment. The base salary range for this reduced hours/part time role is expected between 100-120k for someone with 2-4 YOE. Those with more experience may be considered at a higher salary range. Additional bonus earnings are discretionary and delivered at the end of the year determined by the overall profitability of the firm. Responsibilities: - Manage legal cases from initiation to resolution, including trials and settlements. - Draft and refine pleadings, motions, briefs, and other essential legal documents. - Conduct comprehensive analysis of statutes, case law, and regulations to build strong legal strategies. - Review discovery materials and summarize findings to support case preparation. - Stay informed about legal developments and rulings that impact ongoing and future cases. - Prepare client-focused deliverables, such as demand letters and settlement packages. - Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable outcomes for clients. Requirements - 2+ years of proven experience in Insurance Defense. - Ability to work autonomously while effectively managing responsibilities. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Strong knowledge of current legal trends and updates. - Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership. - Proficiency in civil litigation, drafting motions, briefing, and discovery processes.
