Reports to: Campus Principal

Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt

Compensation Plan: Clerical/Paraprofessional

Pay Grade: 03

Minimum Hourly Rate: $17.40

Duty Days: 196 days per year

Primary Purpose:

Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus; Under direct supervision, perform data entry, including attendance, Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data, and grades.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Two (2) years of clerical and data entry experience

Special Knowledge and Skills

  • Bilingual preferred
  • Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance and 10-key stills
  • Ability to meet established deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in handling confidential information
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in handling confidential information
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Records and Reports

  • Collects and enters attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy of according to established procedures.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with all ten campuses registrars, attendance, and career counseling staff.
  • Prepares and prints reports, including attendance reports, grades, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports, or accounting reports.
  • Maintains physical and computerized records, including student files, attendance documentation, progress and failure reports, class rosters, grade books, and schedule changes if applicable.
  • Maintains student records, attendance and grades for Out of District students and send information to corresponding schools.
  • Processes student tardy and dress code issues during student arrival times.
  • Processes OOD new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folder, and entering student data into appropriate databases.
  • Calls parents to verify student absences as needed.
  • Assists parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance and ATC credit recovery.
  • Reports all attendance problems to designated campuses attendance, counselor, and administration.
  • Maintains records and coordinates services for free/reduced breakfast and lunch students that stay on campus all day.
  • Prepares and distributes student identification cards and issue parking stickers.
  • Assists campus administration with the preparation of reports and student data information.
  • Answers incoming calls to campus, forward to appropriate staff, answer questions, and re-direct calls to appropriate people.
  • Points of contact for all emergency related issues on campus.
  • Provides direct care utilizing school health protocols and care plans established by the off-campus school nurse (RN).
  • Assists in campus office as needed.

Other Related Duties:

  • Follows district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Participates in professional development, department meetings, and special events as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; may require occasional district-wide and statewide travel
