The Athletic Video Media Coordinator reports to the Director of Sports Information and Media Relations and is responsible for producing high-quality video content that strengthens the institution's athletic brand, increases audience engagement and highlights the stories of student-athletes, coaches and athletic programs. This position plans, captures, edits and delivers video projects for digital platforms, social media, videoboards, live broadcasts and other institutional communication needs. The coordinator also recruits, trains, schedules and supervises student production crews assisting with broadcasts and on-site video projects.
- Plan, capture, edit and deliver high-quality video content, including game highlights, promotional materials, student-athlete and coach features, behind-the-scenes stories and short-form social media content.
- Identify compelling stories that support institutional and athletic communication goals.
- Provide video coverage for home and away athletic events, practices, media days and other assigned activities.
- Produce content for websites, social media, videoboards, live broadcasts and other communication platforms.
- Assist with videoboard operations, live broadcasts, multi-camera productions and game-day entertainment.
- Recruit, train, schedule and supervise student production crews for athletic events and video projects.
- Help operate, transport, maintain and inventory video cameras, audio equipment, lighting and related production resources.
- Organize and archive footage, completed projects, graphics, audio files and other digital assets according to established procedures.
- Manage multiple production schedules and ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with Sports Information and Media Relations staff, coaches, student-athletes, marketing personnel and other campus departments.
- Assist with graphics, motion graphics and other visual materials as needed.
- Ensure all content meets institutional brand standards, licensing requirements, accessibility expectations and approval procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
