Salary/Terms: Per NCBOE Athletic Pay Scale. Salary based on experience and education level per NCBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. Annual (12-month) duties to encompass all WVSSAC sport seasons.
Reports to: Principal/Assistant Principal
Evaluation: Evaluations conducted as defined in West Virginia Board of Education Policy 5310 and NCBOE Policy 3220.
FLSA status: Exempt
Job Summary:
The Athletic Director provides leadership, organization, and supervision for all athletic programs. This position ensures that athletics support the academic mission of the school while promoting sportsmanship, safety, and student development. The Athletic Director works closely with school administration, coaches, students, families, and the community to maintain a high-quality, compliant, and inclusive athletic program.
Qualifications:
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed drugs while in the workplace. Alcohol and controlled substance which affects employee productivity, safety or judgment in the workplace will not be tolerated.
Staff members serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings.
