Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Athletics, Health and Physical Education shall possess comprehensive knowledge of athletic programs, health education, and physical education. The Director shall demonstrate expertise in instructional practices that support and enhance student learning and the educational process. The position requires the ability to foster effective collaboration among students, teachers, administrators, and support staff, and to promote coordination and communication across all areas of the school community.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years successful teaching experience.
At least three years of successful coaching experience.
Holds Connecticut Certification in Physical Education and Health.
Holds Connecticut Intermediate Administration/Supervision certification.
Holds Connecticut State Coaching Permit.
Shall have a high degree of organizational ability and a willingness to work with teachers and supervisors.
Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year
Salary Range & Work Year: As per Pomperaug Administrator Association Professional Agreement
