Department of Athletics - Compliance
Responsibilities
Must possess a working knowledge of National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) legislation. Assists in the daily operations of the Institution's Athletics Compliance Office with a concentration in the assigned NCAA Bylaws and in consultation with relevant University, Conference and NCAA regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating and detecting infractions, monitoring, documenting, educating, and developing best practices and procedures in assigned areas.
Serves as primary compliance liaison for assigned sport programs and administrative units within and/or outside the athletics department. Responsible for assisting in the investigation of known and/or alleged rules violations, as well as gathering necessary information to draft and submit waivers, secondary violations, and rules interpretations to the NCAA and/or ACC. Provides coaches, staff (inside and outside of the athletics department), student-athletes, and other entities responsible for compliance with NCAA and ACC rules with interpretation and information regarding regulatory compliance on a regular basis.
Assists with the rules education program for the athletics department and all of its internal and external stakeholders to support the University's athletics programs with NCAA and ACC rules compliance.
Contributes to the overall success of the intercollegiate athletics program by performing any other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
