Position Number: 006100528

The District 6 (Sagadahoc County, Lincoln County, Knox County, and Waldo County) District Attorney's Office is seeking a full-time Assistant District Attorney for Sagadahoc County in our Bath office.

The Assistant District Attorney will be primarily responsible for criminal prosecution for adults in the Unified Criminal Docket as well as appellate cases before the Law Court. Candidates should have a strong desire for a career in litigation and prosecution with trial experience and developed trial skills a plus. High ethical standards, sound judgment, strong communication and inter-personal skills, good organizational/time management skills, and good writing skills are essential. A commitment to criminal justice reform, as well as racial and gender justice is essential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS

Applicants must be members of the Maine Bar in good standing, have an eye for legal detail, be interested in complex state and federal regulations, have strong legal advocacy and writing skills, and have a demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a team.
