The Assistant Director of Development, USF Digital Engagement Center provides digital outreach to alumni,

donors, parents and friends in exciting new ways to enhance USF''s reach. Through utilization of new digital

technologies, the Digital Engagement Center''s goal is to create meaningful conversations between alumni and students, while expanding the scope of texting, video interaction and social media. A team of 60+ students will engage with alumni share exciting news about USF''s initiatives as well as specific college and academic priorities. Through this multi-channel digital outreach approach, the USF Digital Engagement Center aims to strengthen affinity to USF, increase alumni engagement and gifts to USF, and create positive, asting connections for our alumni.

The Assistant Director of Development, USF Digital Engagement Center is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the USF Digital Engagement Center and assists the Associate Director/Director with other projects as assigned. The Assistant Director of Development, USF Digital Engagement Center will oversee Digital Engagement Center operations, including: hiring of staff, interaction with Human Resources, script writing, budget management, equipment maintenance, statistical reporting. The Assistant Director of Development, USF Digital Engagement Center supervises day-to-day activities of 60+ student engagement specialists and student supervisors including providing ongoing training and motivational strategies. This position will manage scheduling to see that all stations are filled each shift, working closely with the Advancement Services to optimize list segmentation and data IM requests.

This position requires Bachelor''s degree and three years of experience related to development or other appropriate professional experience.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

Recruit and hire student engagement specialists for USF''s Engagement Center. Work with HR in the hiring of staff & maintenance of related paperwork. Create & maintain training materials & conduct training programs each semester for student engagement specialists. Provide ongoing training & coaching for all students. Direct & manage student supervisors & engagement specialists for each shift in the center. Develop a positive work environment to introduce students to USF fundraising. Create & implement an incentive program for student engagement specialists'' overall dollars raised, credit card percentages, matching gift updates, etc. Serve as host for activities/events to increase awareness of the Engagement Center by USF staff and students. Monitor data flow between VanillaSoft and Ellucian Advance CRM with regard to pledge entry and demographic updates. Monitor reporting output from VanillaSoft & distribute reports to others in USF development. Review & apply year by year statistical data & recommend appropriate segmentation strategy for each engagement campaign. Work with development teams in scripting & segmenting for campaigns to their alumni. Work with Donor Relations team to create & implement stewardship engagement. Coordinate pledge fulfillment program.

Maintain and operate automated engagement system including upgrades and integration with VanillaSoft and Ellucian CRM Advance. Research and troubleshoot through data systems, as necessary. Prepare daily/weekly calling reports by project/segment, final reports as each campaign is completed, and annual analysis report comparing all projects/segments compared with previous years. Assist in creating and modifying reports from VanillaSoft and Ellucian Advance CRM, as needed. Maintain efficient filing system for Digital Engagement Center staff and center statistics. Maintain computers, dialers, headsets and all related equipment. Maintain inventory of office supplies and replaces supplies and parts in a timely manner.

Organize, manage and execute all college/unit/department special projects within the Digital Engagement Center. Meet with constituents to identify project needs, create proposed plan with timeline, execute projects successfully with output of necessary reports. Work hand-in-hand with Annual Giving Direct Marketing team to mange special projects during Giving Week. Utilize ThankView, Vidyard and Mongoose as necessary for

outward campaigns through the DEC.

Coordinate pledge fulfillment program, including oversight of all initial and subsequent pledge reminders. Effectively handle donor questions and/or concerns by phone, mail or email.
