Purpose of the Position:
The Assistant Coach, Baseball will assist the Head Baseball Coach in team management and administration to support and reinforce the Athletics Department and University goals.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Recruit and evaluate quality student-athletes
- Train, teach, and provide instruction to student-athletes both on and off the field
- Help to maintain compliance with NCAA departmental and University rules and regulations
- Assist in establishing game plans
- Scout opponents
- Coordinate Team Travel
- Maintain correspondence with recruits
- Assist with preparing the budget
- Assist with program fundraising efforts
- Coordinate film exchange
- Coordinate game day management
- Organize information for visiting teams
- Coordinate equipment purchase and maintenance
- Maintain positive public relationships with the university and community
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor''s degree or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience
- Must have coaching experience
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have basic accounting skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree is preferred
- Knowledge of Sports Management is desired
- College Coaching Experience
Published Salary (if available):
$40,000 - $45,000
