Overview The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports comprised of 14 womens and 10 mens programs that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nations premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on November 6, 1869, in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Posting Summary Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Coach for Football. Among the key duties of the position are the following:
• Assists in the coordination of an intercollegiate athletic program and has an understanding of technical knowledge of the sport of Football with the ability to develop student-athletes to their full potential. • FLSA Exempt

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelors degree Certifications/Licenses A valid drivers license would be required for this position. Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Knowledge of Big Ten Conference and NCAA rules relative to recruiting and knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of football. • Good organization skills. • Ability to communicate with student-athletes and the media. • Computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications • Collegiate football coaching and playing experience.
