    What You'll Do:

    • Empower team to deliver an unparalleled client experience.

    • Developa rapportwith clients and resolve their needs and wishes.

    • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver quality care while minimizing stress and discomfort of patients.

    • Has mastered medical skills andperformbasic surgery.

    • Explain physical examination findings and communicate a diagnosis of the pet’s condition; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client.

    • Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines andappropriate nutritionalproducts.

    • Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all logs are kept up to date through established protocols;assistcolleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.

    • Staying current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend continuing education meetings.

    • Assistin the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care.

    • Positivelyrepresentsthe clinic in the professional community and to the public.

    • Support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants issues as needed.

    • Participation in self-development courses along with Chewy Vet Carecompliance training.

    • Perform related duties and assignments by management.

    • Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures as required by applicable law and Chewy Vet Care processes and policies.

    • Position may require some travel.

    What You'll Need:

    • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) is

    • Active State license in good standing, DEA license and other state credentials as

    • 2 - 3 years’ experience in general medicine and surgery; residency or internship trained

    • 2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines preferred

    • Multi-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability.

    • Outstanding listening and problem-solving skills, strongverbaland written communication skills.

    • Comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals in a team-oriented environment.

    • Is passionate about helping people and pets with compassion and excellent customer service focus.

    • Ability to multi-task and perform well in aface paced, self-starter environment.

    Physical Job Requirements:

    • Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.

    • Frequently liftup50 to 70pounds using an optional team lift.

    • Occasionally lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.

    • Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, andkneel.
