Job Description:
- Set up machines: screen printer, Pick & Place, and reflow oven
- Perform loading and unloading to and from machine independently
- Set up feeder to machine per set up
- Perform the simple machine change over
- Identify the basic SMT components
- Set up SMT parts to correct feeder
- Make sure all process tools, stencils or fixtures are in house before starting the set-up process
- Alert supervisory and maintenance colleagues regarding necessary equipment repairs
- Ensure assembled product meets compliance standards
- Work closely with SMT process engineer
- Overtime may be required as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires 2-5 years experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior contract manufacturing experience is a plus but will train
- Experience with component packages
- Knowledge of machine operation of Tape and Reel and feeder loading
- Good understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Assembly Drawings
- Fluent with SMT Package sizes and component identification
- Experience with reading, comprehending and following work instructions
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Follow all PPE, safety, and environmental compliance procedures
- Work overtime as necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD-001
- Safe and accurate machine operation with minimal supervision
- Computer literate with Microsoft office and other basic programs
- Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must work well with others
