Who are we looking for and why work at Natural Power?

The Associate Project Engineer, Civil will serve to assist in providing renewable energy project civil engineering and geotechnical design reviews to support the advisory team. The role will also contribute to other aspects of the technical review of renewable energy projects and portfolios for investors, financing parties, developers, and project owners.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to technical aspects of advisory project engagements with specific focus on civil engineering and geotechnical reviews.
  • Lead and contribute to writing and review of due diligence and independent engineering reports.
  • Review civil design drawings and studies for code compliance, industry standards, and project requirements.
  • Contribute to successful delivery of due diligence services supporting client requirements to achieve objectives.
  • Conduct site visits for wind, solar, and energy storage projects across development, construction, and operational phases.
  • Responsible for the on-time, on-quality and on-budget delivery of assigned tasks assigned.
  • When supporting projects, ensure appropriate feedback is provided to the project manager on project budgets upon completion of tasks.
  • Maintain internal project databases and information.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills, both oral and written, vertically and across the organization.
  • Provide clear technical advice and communicate complex issues to clients.
  • Advise clients on optimal strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • Travel up to 20% as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent in relevant technical field.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational background in civil engineering with geotechnical or structural focus preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in renewable energy preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, with flexibility based on your experience, skills, and unique contributions.
