JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP seeks an associate attorney to join the Secondary Markets group within the Public Finance practice. The ideal candidate will have an interest in developing their knowledge and skills in a wide range of transactional matters in municipal, asset-backed, and corporate securities while working with experienced, nationally-recognized partners. Qualified candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in public finance, real estate, lending, corporate finance or other transactional areas are encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time position that offers a hybrid work option in one of the following firm offices: Atlanta, GA; Cleveland, OH; Denver, CO; Kansas City, MO; Omaha, NE; Philadelphia, PA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
An associate in the Omaha Secondary Markets group will work with partners, associates, staff and clients throughout the country in a busy practice, involving a wide range of types of transactions and projects, including:
- Researching federal and state law, including federal and state securities and lending laws, the Internal Revenue Code, and local bond and real estate law
- Preparing and reviewing transaction documents, including trust indentures, loan agreements, financing agreements, swap documents and opinions
- Preparing and reviewing underwriting documents, including offering documents, purchase agreements and disclosure certificates
- Interacting and communicating with clients and other transaction parties

- Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail

- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
- Currently admitted to practice with an active Nebraska bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within one year required
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in public finance, real estate, lending, corporate finance or other transactional areas
- Strong academic record
