Job Summary and Qualifications

The Associate Provider Solutions Specialist (PSS) works to assist higher level Provider Solutions Specialist roles and serves in a variety of administrative and documentation functions including audit documentation, documentation of processes or workflows, training materials development and delivery, access builds for providers and office staff, communication regarding setups of providers and staff, etc.

The role is in training to become a PSS by building skillsets required for the PSS role. The Associate role is a learning participant regarding process improvements, best practices, and enhancing the physician experience. They may be assigned learning roles in projects as needed. The Associate works with an ecosystem of healthcare professionals including providers, practice staff, hospital personnel, and internal team members with a learning and observation role in workflow analysis, testing, training, implementation, support, and optimization technologies as needed. They demonstrate formation of collaborative relationships. This role is responsible for learning the dynamic landscape of Health IT, various digital access points, and clinical workflows.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Motivated to learn customer-facing teaching abilities
  • Exchanges information across departments, working inside peer groups. Facilitates communications with supervisor guidance.
  • Ability to foster relationships across multiple business areas with guidance.
  • Escalates questions as appropriate.

Customer Service:

  • Experience in providing high-level customer service
  • Customer service mindset

Relationship Building:

  • Ability to establish and build strong relationships among facility leadership, physicians, and end-users • Ability to work well with other employees
  • Demonstrated participation in positive, collaborative team culture

Problem Solving:

  • Handle multiple duties simultaneously and exhibit initiative
  • Motivated to understand basic workflows and how systems are used in facilities and physician practices
  • Basic, varied work assignments; accountable for basic project participation and tasks
  • Knows and applies fundamental concepts and principles to solve a range of problems

Clinical/Technical:

  • Preferred experience using applications and information systems
  • Demonstrated computer skills

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
