Interdisciplinary School for Engagement
The Interdisciplinary School for Engagement in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts at the University of Texas at San Antonio offers multiple degrees and minors in Film & Media. The Film & Media Studies program offers courses in screenwriting, production, and film studies, history, and theory.
Salary Range: $4,500/course.
Job Type: Part Time
Position Summary
The successful candidate will teach one section of Practical Effects and Props, introducing students to the theory, history, and practice of practical effects, with hands-on training in the creation of props and practical effects for student productions. The course will be crosslisted between the Film/Media Program and the Dramatic Arts Program and so should ideally serve students across both majors.
This is a temporary position with an expected end date of 12/2026. This position may be extended or shortened based on availability of funds and/or departmental need.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
