The Desai Sethi Urology Institute (DSUI) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking an exceptional Urology Associate Professor specializing in Reproductive Medicine to serve as Director of Reproductive Urology. This faculty role is dedicated to advancing excellence in clinical care, research, and medical education with a focus on male infertility and reproductive health.
Position Summary
The Urology Associate Professor will provide expert clinical services, teach residents and fellows, and contribute to innovative research in reproductive urology. This position offers the opportunity to join a rapidly expanding institute within a leading academic medical center known for academic excellence, advanced patient care, and cutting-edge research.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Director of Reproductive Urology within the Department of Urology
- Provide attending physician services at:
- University of Miami Hospital and Clinics (UMHC)
- Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH)
- Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC)
- Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient urology care, including surgical services
- Supervise residents and fellows in ambulatory, inpatient, and operating room settings
- Provide urology consultations and participate in emergency on-call coverage
- Perform clinical duties through the University of Miami Medical Group (UMMG)
- Contribute to academic research and scholarly activity in reproductive urology
Qualifications
- M.D. from an accredited medical school
- Completion of approved urology residency training program
- Board-certified/Board-eligible in urology
- Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida
- Fellowship training or extensive experience in Reproductive Medicine and Male Infertility
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to academic medicine and advancing patient care, education, and scholarship
