They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what's right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more aboutbenefits at Google (https://careers.google.com/benefits/) . **Responsibilities** + Direct the safety roadmap for high-priority GenAI launches, delivering robust testing frameworks and mitigation strategies for complex user harms and product vulnerabilities. + Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in engineering, product, GDM (Deepmind), and legal, synthesizing perspectives to command alignment on high-stakes decisions. + Act as the safety subject matter expert to embed guardrails directly into the product development lifecycle, ensuring they are "safer by design". + Convert traffic patterns and safety signals into strategic intelligence. Anticipate emerging risks to influence product roadmaps and drive continuous innovation. + Bridge high-level strategy with precise execution, orchestrating complex testing workstreams with partners while serving as the primary "front-door" for safety-related work.
