Job Details

We are seeking an Associate Principal to serve as both a technical leader and a key contributor to the firm’s continued growth. This individual will lead project teams, oversee complex structural designs, and play an active role in client development and relationship management.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of large, complex structural projects
Oversee and mentor teams of engineers and BIM/modeling staff
Manage client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and market sectors
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure successful project outcomes
Support overall project execution including scheduling, coordination, and quality control

Qualifications:
10+ years of structural engineering experience (building design focus)
Strong background in steel and concrete structural systems
SE license required
Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering projects
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships
Strong technical expertise with a recognized area of strength (market or system type)
Experience with seismic design and California codes preferred
Exposure to DSA or HCAI/OSHPD projects is a plus
Strong communication and leadership skills
