Our Headquarter office located in Torrance, CA is hiring for an Associate Portfolio Manager. The Associate Portfolio Manager works closely with Senior Portfolio Managers and advisors to manage investments of client accounts. Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with Investment Director and other senior members of the team to administer investments in client accounts
Work as needed as part of the portfolio management team to support trading and portfolio management functions
Work on model changes and rebalancing for Tamarac accounts
Monitor asset allocation of client accounts and conduct rebalancing utilizing trade order management system as necessary
Monitor cash levels in client accounts and adjust as necessary
Produce periodic reports from trade order management system as necessary
Work with compliance to document and report on trading activity
Assist with other compliance related tasks
Enter, maintain and report on data in portfolio management system
Collaborate with Financial Advisors to enter and analyze data in investment portfolio proposals as necessary
Provide progress reports to manager and senior team members communicating timelines, delays, projected and mitigated issues, and outcomes
Perform duties consistent to plan and within a professional framework representing the Company's goals and objectives
Perform additional duties as necessary in order to support and enhance investment department objectives
Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform business functions with focus on consistency, quality, and compliance
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business, finance or economics related major; participation in the CFA program preferred
3-5 years experience in investment related field; portfolio management and/or securities trading experience
Strong interest and knowledge in financial planning and wealth management
Interpersonal skills, productive working within a team structure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and exercise discretion without immediate supervision at all times
Ability to multi-task under pressure, prioritize workflow and assignments in a deadline oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to organize and present data; strong Excel and/or programming skills a plus
Experience with Tamarac or other trade order / portfolio management software
Experience with Bloomberg, Morningstar, Schwab, and Fidelity platforms
Compensation: Our base pay range is $79,000.00 - $110,000.00 (per year)
